DanceWorks Chicago

Founded in 2007, DanceWorks Chicago is in its 14th year of illuminating the work of art, inviting, welcoming, and shining a light on early career movers and makers. With its unique profile as a professional training ground, creative lab, and performing company, DWC fills an artistic/educational/vocational void in Chicago’s dance landscape, which continues to change, evolve, and consolidate.

Mission Statement:

DanceWorks Chicago (DWC) is committed to building a foundation for early career artists by providing a laboratory from which dancers and choreographers propel themselves and the art form to a new level of artistry through training, collaboration, mentorship, and performance.
