As part of the Stand Together philanthropic community, the Stand Together Foundation is committed to breaking the cycle of poverty by supporting the creative solutions of individuals and organizations who are driving entrepreneurship in communities across the country and helping people transform their lives. Founded in 2016, the Foundation partners with the nation’s most effective and top-performing non-profits and social entrepreneurs to help them deepen and grow their impact to break barriers for people in poverty so that they can realize their potential. To date, the Foundation has vetted over 2,600 non-profits and selected 192. We are proud of this level of selectivity—ensuring that the Foundation identifies, vets, and selects the most innovative, impactful, and community-driven non-profits in the U.S.


Our team is working to identify and cultivate relationships with promising non-profit organizations with the potential for transformative impact — we call them “Catalysts”. We are hiring a Partnership Development Manager to manage this critical capability for specific geography and/or unique channel strategy and develop a robust pipeline of nonprofit partners. In this role, you will work closely with internal stakeholders including the research team to hone and develop prospecting methodology, criteria, and screening tools that support successful relationship development and partnership analysis.  You will make a significant contribution by connecting potential partners to the vision of Stand Together Foundation and providing recommendations for the Catalyst Program and long-term partnerships.  We are currently looking for someone who is a passionate and strategic storyteller, customer-focused, motivated, and highly entrepreneurial to help us find the very best non-profits and social entrepreneurs in the country.

 

Your Responsibilities Include

  • Identify high-performing organizations based on a regional and/or channel strategy portfolio
  • Build and grow a robust pipeline of strategic, principles-aligned referral opportunities
  • Initiate prospecting activities and cultivate relationships through introductory calls, video conferencing, and face to face meetings, undertaking an elevated level of travel as necessary 
  • Create and articulate compelling value propositions for partner selection and membership
  • Working with the research team, direct landscape, and market analysis to support prospecting strategies
  • Articulate Stand Together Foundation's vision, mission, and values in all communications with potential partners
  • Act as the principal ambassador for Stand Together Foundation by building and nurturing meaningful relationships with community leaders 
  • Formulate clear and concise programmatic recommendations for Stand Together Foundation’s post-selection programming team
  • Share knowledge and collaborate across teams to realize greater returns on investment on our Catalyst partnerships

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills You Bring the Organization

  • 6+ years experience in building high-impact partnerships in the non-profit or social sector in areas such as:
    • Program Officer
    • Development/Fundraising
    • Non-Profit Consulting
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the challenges, opportunities, and hurdles non-profit executive directors face
  • Commitment to the purpose, values, and operating principles that inform Stand Together Foundation’s work
  • Resilience and passion in recommending and advocating for partnership selection
  • Willingness to undertake a heavy travel schedule
  • Excellent communications skills, both oral and written 
  • Proven ability to deliver project outcomes
