Exceptional Communicator. You are direct and concise. You speak and write clearly, eloquently, and with a situation-appropriate tone to make sure others understand you and you understand them. You know how to communicate in order to effectively collaborate. You can give a strong pitch exciting others to join your cause.
Collaborative. You understand that the best way to meet and exceed goals is through outstanding teamwork. You have experience working with cross-departmental leaders to partner with you on developing complex proposals. You have the ability to cultivate relationships up, down, and across in an organization.
Experienced. You’re an expert grant writer with deep knowledge of what Foundations and/or Government partners look for in an excellent proposal. You have brought in multiple six-figure grants and have experience with CRM databases such as Salesforce to inform your strategy. You have demonstrated ability to network in esteemed philanthropy circles to drive mission awareness and support.
Goal-oriented. You’re not afraid to set ambitious goals and create thoughtful plans to achieve them. You get excited about crossing goals off your list, and setting new ones for yourself and your team.
Detail-oriented. You sweat the small stuff. You make sure that your work sets the standard for excellence and what is expected from those around you. You are highly organized, and able to focus on the details as you look at the big picture.
Strategic. You love to come up with big bold ideas. You know that what worked for one organization might not work for another and know how to integrate old strategies with new ones. You look at the way things are and then imagine 20 ways they can be improved.
Flexible. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity, pushing for what you need when necessary, and working through competing priorities. You are an independent leader, able to work autonomously and effectively in a fast paced environment.
Passionate. You care about LGBTQ youth and mental health. You care about saving lives. You want to come to work and feel inspired every day. You want to change the world.
Fun. The work we do is very serious, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have fun. We know how to have a good time and you should too.
