The SMRC Executive Director is responsible for the overall management of the organization—board, staff, admin, programs, fundraising, communications, culture, and community relations. This position reports directly to the board of directors, supervises staff, and oversees a $1 million annual budget. The Executive Director works closely with the board, staff, and volunteer advocates to achieve SMRC’s mission to empower and advocate for individuals affected by domestic violence and sexual assault.

The San Miguel Resource Center is looking for an experienced executive director who is compassionate, confident, and willing to advocate for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in an increasingly diverse, rural community. The ideal candidate is an accomplished nonprofit leader who has experience implementing inclusive and equitable practices, has a successful fundraising track record, is a skilled relationship builder, and demonstrates a commitment to ending violence in all forms. Spanish language skills and prior knowledge of interpersonal violence are both plusses but not requirements.
This is a full-time, exempt position, with a comprehensive benefits package. The executive director salary range is $95,000 - $110,000. At start date, benefits include: 10 paid holidays, PTO accumulated at five hours per pay period for the first two years, and one paid hour per week dedicated to wellness. Benefits beginning after a stipulated wait period: health, dental and vision coverage, retirement account (up to 3% match), wellness package ($1,200 per year for health-related activities), and Flexible Spending Account ($1,200).
