Status: Full time; Non-exempt 

Location: Washington, DC 

Salary: $60,000 - $75,000

What You’ll Do
The Operations Manager will be an essential member of the Operations team and will provide ongoing support on a wide range of operational systems, including the coordination of the day-to-day office activities across four departments and multiple campaign teams. The scope of this role will primarily support office operations, IT and supply management, new hire coordination, and the development and implementation of policies and procedures that increase operational efficiency. We are eager to find someone who can efficiently build relationships across multiple teams and can quickly pivot to accommodate the changing nature of our mission work and goals.

 

As an Operations Manager, you will:

  • Plan and oversee the daily operations of the organization to ensure the goals and objectives of the HR and Operations team are achieved
  • Act as the point of contact for maintenance, mailing, equipment, supply management, and other office administrator activities 
  • Partner with outsourced IT provider to manage the Hub's technology infrastructure, support staff with basic tech issues as they arise, and maintain the connectivity and technology in all conference rooms
  • Support new hire orientation by obtaining building passes/office keys, setting up workstations and laptops, and equipment training
  • Establish a historical reference for the organization by creating and maintaining standard office operating procedures and guidelines 
  • Partner with the Operations team on special projects and internal in-office events as they arise

 

What We’re Looking For 
We’re seeking candidates who excel in relationship building, are detail-oriented, and have strong project management skills. To be successful in this role, you will need:  

  • A track record of success in project or operations management in a complex environment that requires juggling many different priorities 
  • A track record of developing and maintaining strong working relationships with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
  • A commitment to a just and inclusive economy that delivers opportunity and dignity to everyone and preserves and strengthens our democracy
  • A self-starting, entrepreneurial, adaptable and actionable orientation with experience in a startup-like environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with GSuite applications and Microsoft Office suite 

 

What We Offer
The salary range for this position is $60,000-$75,000, commensurate with experience. The Hub Project provides a comprehensive and competitive benefits package that includes, but is not limited to:
