LuMind IDSC seeks an experienced and motivated professional to help advance the organization’s Development and Donor Relations activities.

POSITION FUNCTION:
This is a professional, individual contributor position responsible for overall hands-on systems operations and data management related to donor-facing activities and donor revenue. The Donor Relations Systems Manager is responsible for data entry, reconciliation, workplace giving, prospect research, and financial reporting. The incumbent is the lead knowledge source for the donor database (Salesforce) and is responsible for the on-going management of the system, accurate and timely system reporting, and coordination with compatible platforms including Give Lively, Campaign Monitor, and Double the Donation. The incumbent plays a key role in helping to organize, focus, and align the Development team in tracking the achievement of fundraising goals. In addition, the Donor Relations Systems Manager provides event and annual giving support.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIES
Lead Database and Development Operations 70%:

  • Works closely with the CDO in creating and implementing donor relations systems procedures, policies, and strategies
  • Manages daily operations of Salesforce including maintaining data integrity and accuracy,  mailing and donor lists, event attendance, pledges, gift records, merging duplicate records, systems upgrading, generate reports, and constituent outreach and exports
  • Serves as the lead for effective execution and management of the donor-side/development revenue data management of Salesforce; establishes and maintains SOPs for data hygiene.
  • Manages strategic and operational expansion of database usage through plug-in tools such as Give Lively, Double the Donation, SMS texting, prospecting software, and Campaign Monitor for email communications and other implementations.
  • Handles/implements gift processing and acknowledgements, including checks, recurring gifts, credit cards, online gifts, payroll deductions, wire transfers/EFTs, in kind gifts and event purchases.
  • Conducts donor and campaign analysis; creates regular and custom donor reports.
  • Manages Gift Processing from workplace giving portals.
  • Works with CDO to manage reconciliation process with the finance team.
  • Generates financial reports for CDO, team and for Board and Committee meetings.
  • Provides logistical support for the operations of the Development office to achieve the goals of the organization.
  • May serve as first point of contact for donors.
  • Partners with auditors to help complete timely and accurate financial audits.
  • Maintains donor biographical records and conducts prospect research.

Support Peer to Peer Fundraising Program and Volunteer-led Events 15%:

  • Partners with the Senior Development Officer to manage programming and logistics for my321, the peer-to-peer fundraising program, as well as our charity marathon runners program coordinate through Give Lively platform.
  • Serves as the lead relationship manager with outside vendors; organizes runner breakfasts.
  • Tracks giving, generates reports, and analyzes annual giving and third-party results.

Support Annual Giving Program 15%:

  • Provides support to three annual appeals, including both digital and direct mail campaigns.
  • Defines and creates donor segmentations to support appeals
  • Works with Senior Development Officer to create strategies and implement programs to increase size, diversity and giving potential of LuMind IDSC’S annual giving donor base

Qualifications

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree and three or more years of experience in donor relations, fundraising systems or related nonprofit foundation technology; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Experience with Salesforce is strongly preferred; annual giving/special events experience is a plus.
  • Considerable skill and expertise with technology, including database management and Microsoft Office Suite; SharePoint skill is a plus.
  • Strong data analysis skills; ability to define engagement metrics and assess donor data.
  • Systems curiosity and ability to seek out systems solutions on own initiative.
  • Skill in working in fast paced environment; delivering a high level of accuracy and detail.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills; highly organized.
  • Skill and expertise in maintaining a high level of confidentiality and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Skill in working effectively independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Knowledge of, interest in, or experience with the Down syndrome community.

This position is a hybrid role or regionally remote role. *Regionally remote means the employee is on-site for the on-boarding period and for periodic meetings; however, generally works remotely.
