We are currently leading up a project funded by Bloomberg Philanthropies to scale up workforce pathways with employers in Charlotte, North Carolina. The project is being carried out with the Charlotte Executive Leadership Council, an alliance led by CEOs at 30+ companies including Bank of America, Duke Energy, and Advocate Health.
Our goal with this project is to activate partnerships that substantially increase the training capacity in the region. As Workforce Partnerships Director, you will take the lead on guiding and developing these partnerships. You will work closely with training providers in the region to develop proposals for workforce development to be presented to employers. Your work will focus especially on high opportunity occupations across healthcare, manufacturing, and finance.
Your work will ultimately lead to the development of a public-private partnership for expanding workforce development across key sectors in the region.
The ideal candidate for the role possesses a background in business development, community engagement, or consulting. With proven skills in forming strategic partnerships, project management, and strong communication abilities, they will excel in driving collaborations among employers and training providers. A passion for social impact, an entrepreneurial spirit, and experience in workforce development or HR are crucial attributes to effectively lead and navigate this role.
Role Overview:
We're seeking a dynamic and strategic Workforce Solutions Consultant to foster collaborations and relationships within our network of employers and training providers in the Charlotte region. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a community builder, relationship cultivator, consultant, and strategist. Acting as the bridge between the Charlotte Executive Leadership Council (CELC), employers, training providers, and Radius Group, you will lead our efforts to drive progress in workforce development.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a strategy to expand talent pipelines by working closely with training providers, employers, and government organizations.
Foster partnerships across healthcare, finance & manufacturing industries to improve communication and collaboration between employers and training providers.
Help partners create innovative proposals for scalable workforce development solutions.
Create a proposal for a public-private partnership to enhance workforce development efforts in Charlotte.
Showcase successful collaboration between employers, government agencies, and training providers, turning Charlotte's workforce development into a national case study.
Develop a replicable system outlining principles and best practices for expanding workforce partnerships, which can serve as a regional blueprint.
Act as the main point of contact between Radius Group and local community workforce leaders, nurturing relationships and providing progress updates.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience in coordinating partnerships or operations involving executive stakeholders.
Experience driving innovation and change management projects
Exceptional organizational skills, adept at managing complex projects and diverse partner networks.
Preferred background in workforce development, HR, or the corporate sector.
Proficient in leading and facilitating meetings with various stakeholders.
Ability to develop effective processes to guide teams toward common goals.
Entrepreneurial spirit and proactive approach to identifying and pursuing partnership opportunities.
Experience engaging with C-suite leaders
Strong attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture.
Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and drive results independently.
