Job Description

 THE POSITION:

Reporting to the Director of Communication, the Digital Producer is responsible for operating and improving NHEC’s presence on its current and future digital channels, including email, web, social, and apps.

The role is also responsible for monitoring and reporting performance of these channels to the Director and other stakeholders.

This position also supports communications internally and externally with the NHEC Foundation, a separate 501c3 which makes grants on a quarterly basis to the support the communities and members served by NHEC.

 This position also involves public outreach and community engagement work, and other duties as assigned.

 Job Responsibilities:

Oversees operation and maintenance of all current digital channels, including email, web, and social.

Works with Information Systems and other stakeholders to support and use applications that communicate with NHEC members.

Builds and delivers reports on a timely basis regarding reach and impact of digital communication; also recommends and implements initiatives to improve its reach and impact.

Supports marketing for NHEC and, when appropriate, NH Broadband.

With Content Producer, identifies formats and technical requirements necessary to post or push content to the relevant digital channel.

Follows brand standards.

Supports communication during storm outages and recovery efforts with members, earned media, municipalities, and other stakeholders.

Assists with the planning and coordination of public outreach opportunities and member events.

 WORKING CONDITIONS:

Some day-to-day travel within the utility system required. Extra hours when necessary, during evenings and weekends. 

Assistance with power restoration efforts required. If necessary, during regular business hours employees will be assigned functions to support power restoration and for some employees that may be different from their normal duties. In addition, such assistance may require working nights, weekends and holidays which may involve considerable extra hours.

NHEC views compensation in a holistic and transparent manner. The salary range for this role is targeted at $80,000 - $95,000.

Qualifications

THE PERSON:

Bachelor’s degree in communications or relevant field

3-5 years of digital experience in email, social, or web.

Strong writing and editing skills, and demonstrated ability with video, photography, graphic design, social media, signage/wayfinding, outdoor, or owned.

Experience with energy utilities, telecommunication, or other complex business helpful.

Knowledge and experience, either personally or professionally, in New Hampshire or northern New England helpful.
