The Regional Director position is dedicated to building community-level support for all programs across Western Massachusetts. The Regional Director reports to the Vice President of Child and Family Services and supervises a regional team consisting of the Program Director of Springfield office and team, Program Director of the Worcester office and team. In this role, they will support growth in the areas, and seek additional opportunities to expand HopeWell’s footprint in Western, Massachusetts.
The Regional Director will partner with the Springfield Program Director, Worcester Program Director and Vice President of Child and Family Programs to ensure the service delivery, continuous quality improvement activities, and capacity building objectives of the organization are fully met within their region. The Regional Director will also work with the Statewide Foster Parent Recruitment team to ensure that recruitment is successful and growing. In partnership with the foster parent liaison group, the Regional Director will develop a regional implementation plan to build their region’s capacity to serve foster parents and youth. The Regional Director will build and maintain local partnerships designed to engage local stakeholders to learn more about HopeWell and support our mission. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing strategic leadership, program design and implementation leadership, community engagement direction, and management of evaluation and continuous quality improvement (CQI) plans
- Leading a regional staff team across Western Massachusetts
- Exemplifying the mission, vision, and values of the organization
- Leading and sustaining the implementation and continuous quality improvement of the programs in a multi-county regional area in a manner that is responsive to the needs of foster parents and caregivers, takes into account the resources and capacity of individual counties and local communities, ensures fidelity to the program model, and supports formal program evaluation and CQI activities
- Supporting the breadth and depth of services rendered across Western Massachusetts area through thoughtful expansion and procurement of contracts
- Forging, cultivating, and maintaining deep relationships with and connections among a broad network of regional and local human services organizations
- Inspiring a shared sense of purpose among key stakeholders, including families served, public and private human service organizations, community leaders, and staff
- Facilitate foster parent liaison meetings providing ongoing expert guidance, service capacity assessment and building, problem-solving, and support for the regions foster parents
- Work with the Statewide Foster Parent recruitment team to ensure increase in foster parent census
- Contributing to the success of the statewide program by building collaborative relationships with peer regional directors, actively sharing ideas and information, and contributing personal creativity and critical thinking to the ongoing refinement and success of the program
- Implementing project timeline, and budget consistent with the program model
- Hiring, training, and supporting regional staff
- Work and partner closely with Human Resources in a proactive timely manner to strategize, address concerns, and engage in thought partnership
- Initiating formal agreements with partnering organizations; forging close collaborative relationships with the same; and planning with partnering organizations for the selection, onboarding, training, and supervision of staff
- Meeting with and listening attentively to caregivers, foster parents, and youth
- Building effective collaborative relationships with key regional, county, and local stakeholders
- Forging effective and collaborative relationships with human service organizations across the region
- Engaging stakeholders in identifying priorities for capacity building and strategies for accomplishing them
- Championing evaluation and CQI practices for the region; effectively communicating the same to partnering organizations and stakeholders; and utilizes performance and outcome data to inform decision making
- Achieving targets for data collection, data integrity, program fidelity, and CQI practices
- Responsible for ensuring that services and work environments are consistent with HopeWell values and commitment to Diversity, Belonging, Inclusion, and Equity. Ability to have difficult conversations regarding DBIE and holding self and staff accountable for healthy inclusive work environments
