Job Description

The Employer Engagement Director will play a key role in the expansion of EPIC’s client services support for employers who seek to explore child care solutions to meet the needs of their employee base. EPIC prides itself on being employer-driven, helping employers of all types to understand the relevant child care landscape, assess their employees’ needs, and define and plan for practical solutions.

The Employer Engagement Director will drive strategic client engagements that empower employers to invest in high impact child care programs. In this role, they will lead complex projects from inception through delivery, serving as the trusted advisor and day-to-day point of contact for executive clients. Leveraging client service expertise, they will oversee comprehensive needs assessments, data-driven analysis, and the development of tailored recommendations that align with organizational goals. Through collaborative facilitation and compelling presentations, they will guide cross-functional teams in exploring innovative solutions and building consensus around actionable plans.

The Employer Engagement Director will report to the Chief Impact Officer and oversee multiple projects simultaneously, across multiple locations. Over time, the client services team will grow to include additional individuals who may report to the Employer Engagement Director.

Essential Job Functions

  • Oversee full life cycle of client engagements from initial scoping to delivery of solutions to ensure an excellent experience 
  • Create focused project plans and compelling presentations to educate clients and outline data-driven recommendations 
  • Develop and maintain trusted advisor relationships with new and existing executive clients 
  • Support and navigate partnerships among clients and execute work within the context of client’s business and political landscape
  • Design and facilitate working sessions with cross-functional client teams to align on goals, surface concerns, and gather feedback throughout the engagement
  • Conduct comprehensive needs assessments, cost modeling, benchmarking analysis and feasibility studies  
  • Oversee end-to-end project delivery, engaging appropriate members of the EPIC team to accomplish project goals, as well as provide oversight for team members and sub-contractors as needed
  • Serve as day-to-day point of contact for client leaders and project staff 
  • Innovate on, refine, and codify EPIC’s approach to client engagement
  • Travel on-site to client establishments to visit facilities, host sessions, and build connections (up to 15%)

Qualifications

  • 7+ years successfully managing client service-oriented projects with C-suite engagement 
  • Strong client services orientation exemplified by high levels of responsiveness and flexibility to meet client needs
  • Skilled at building trusted partnerships and navigating intra- and inter-organizational dynamics
  • Dynamic facilitator able to incorporate diverse perspectives and needs  
  • Strong analytical skills to turn complex data into clear recommendations
  • Highly organized; able to fluidly manage multiple major initiatives
  • Flexible and willing to adapt to evolving needs and landscape in a high growth organization
  • Passion for EPIC’s mission with demonstrated interest in the early care and education space
  • Eager to contribute to a fun, positive work environment
  • Preferred - Knowledge of early childhood care and education space
