Job Description
Nonprofit animal protection organization Lady Freethinker seeks a board member to help further our mission of achieving a compassionate world for all species. Our board members provide strategic guidance, and use their expertise to help maximize impact in ending animal cruelty worldwide.
Time commitment is several hours per month, including quarterly board meetings.
About Lady Freethinker:
Lady Freethinker (LFT) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to exposing and stopping abuse of animals, humans and the planet. We publish news articles and petitions to help end cruelty and promote humane treatment of all species. Our undercover investigations expose hidden cruelty that would otherwise go unnoticed, allowing the public to take action and make informed choices to help save lives. We go beyond publishing as well, and provide direct aid for food, veterinary care, shelter, and more to animals in desperate situations.
With about a million site visits per month, we educate and inform a wide audience and provide a platform for the public to speak out for a more compassionate world.

We are igniting a compassionate movement against animal abuse.
LFT is working to expose and stop animal cruelty through investigative reporting and other media, citizen petitions, and partnerships with rescuers and activists on the ground worldwide. We believe that by changing the norms and policies that allow cruelty, we can end human-caused suffering of all species — from the dogs and cats we call family to the billions of pigs, chickens and cows suffering on factory farms, to the human animals who need our help. We believe that creating systems that protect us all, regardless of species, is the key to building a free and compassionate world for generations to come.
