At Margaret’s Village, we transform homelessness and isolation into community, self sufficiency, and independence. We enable individuals and families to lead productive and fulfilling lives.

Our Care Model

• Two life affirming interim housing communities serve as a four to eight month home base and resource center:
  Maria Shelter in Englewood: 50 bed facility for women and children, since 1989
  Believe Shelter in South Chicago: 50 bed facility for intact families including men, since 2012 
• Residents receive individualized case management and practical life guidance
• We connect residents with a wealth of supportive services and resources via our partner agencies
• Area seniors thrive at our Vincennes Senior Center in Englewood
• We engage with the community to reimagine Chicago’s south side as a resilient and safe neighborhood
