The Alnoba Lewis Family Foundation is a results-driven Foundation with the mission to transform peoples’ lives and build strong communities by developing leaders and strategic partners on a local and global scale. Located in Kensington, NH the Foundation encompasses 600 acres of forests, fields, ponds, trails and exceptional outdoor sculptures by internationally renowned sculptors. This space provides a natural place for reflection, and inspiration for creating change. The Foundation funds and works with 31 Strategic Partners throughout New England as well as others nationally and worldwide. The Foundation also provides grants to Boston based community organizations with the intent of developing high performing leaders in the neighborhoods of Dorchester, Roxbury, and Mattapan.

Alnoba Co-founders Alan and Harriet Lewis - Alan, as Chairman of Grand Circle Corporation and the Lewis family owned Kensington Investment Company, led both companies to become global enterprises. Alan has been recognized for his philanthropic leadership. He earned the Committee to Encourage Corporate Philanthropy’s Excellence Award for CEO leadership and innovation in philanthropy and was named Ernst & Young’s New England “Social Entrepreneur of the Year.” He and Harriet have authored “Leading Through Turbulence” and “Driving with No Brakes,” personal experiences of how they built very successful companies.

Harriet, an educator, philanthropist and world traveler, is passionate about helping guide social change and developing leader with a special focus on women and youth. Harriet founded the Next Generation Leaders, a program to provide rising college freshmen from Boston’s Dorchester, Roxbury and Mattapan neighborhoods with work, service and international travel opportunities to advance their leadership skills and improve their chances of success in life and college.

The Foundation awards grants that are exclusively focused on the four pillars of Alnoba which are Leadership, Conservation, Wellness and the Arts.
