The missions of Tri-Lakes Cares is to improve the quality of people's lives by providing emergency, relief, and self-sufficiency services. TLC accomplishes this by ensuring that economically disadvantaged households have access to essential needs such as food, housing, medical care, and financial assistance to keep them healthy and safe. Low-income households are often forced to choose between putting food on the table or keeping the lights on, between getting medical care or paying the rent. Tri-Lakes Cares helps resolve these difficult choices by providing access to basic services.

TLC provides food assistance to ensure no resident goes hungry; a Neighborhood Nurse Center for the un- or under- insured; financial assistance to help families stay warm and safe in their homes; individualized case management to ensure clients’ needs are met; self-sufficiency programs to help people transition out of poverty; seasonal assistance that provides children with school supplies and age-appropriate books to read, gives families a special supply of groceries at Thanksgiving and Christmas in order for them to prepare traditional holiday meals, and mobilizes the community to provide holiday gifts for youth and seniors in need; and so much more.
