Grads of Life drives to close the Opportunity Divide primarily through a disciplined systems change approach. As a key component of Year Up’s overall strategy, Grads of Life founders set out to catalyze employer demand for diverse talent by helping employers better understand steps they could take to bring Opportunity Youth into their talent pipelines. Today, Grads of Life seeks to expand its impact even further by better equipping key employers and employer coalitions to establish and/or sustain inclusive work environments, attract more diverse talent, and provide access to career paths and economic mobility for underserved populations that have been traditionally denied such access. The goal is to eliminate the Opportunity Gap that separates diverse talent pools and the companies that will benefit from hiring them. We help employers design and implement inclusive talent strategies, which promote economic opportunity, stability, and mobility for all. Our Advisory Services team works one-on-one with employers, as well as with networks of employers in markets or industries, to co-create the regional talent pipelines, hiring programs, work-based experiences, and talent partnerships that drive inclusive talent strategies. Our Learning team works with companies to build inclusive cultures through company- specific workshops and training for frontline managers, HR managers and C-Suite executives. Our research, learnings, and strategic communications are then promoted by our Thought Leadership team to collectively advance the broader movement of employers committed to lasting change across our country.
