Community Dispute Settlement Center

CDSC is a small community mediation center serving Middlesex County.  With a small staff and budget, we provide free/very low cost mediation services to disputants involved in disputes involving housing, consumer, divorce, family, workplace, neighborhood conflicts.  In addition, we provide conflict skills trainings to hundreds of people each year, provide two cycles of Basic Mediation Training (which meets the SJC standard), provide peer mediation services to high school students and provide reentry mediation services to ex offenders.

Founded in 1979, CDSC is one of twelve community mediation centers across Massachusetts.

Key Responsibilities of the Executive Director The Executive Director serves as CDSC’s Chief Executive Officer, reporting directly to its Board of Directors. The Executive Director ensures CDSC meets its mission and financial objectives, including its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The position’s key responsibilities include: Leadership & Management Ensuring ongoing programmatic excellence and consistent quality of communications directing finance, administration and fundraising. Actively engaging and energizing CDSC’s network of volunteers, board members, program alumni, partner organizations, and donors, including managing the relationship with the Massachusetts Office of Public Collaboration and the Massachusetts Trial Courts.
