The Children's Funding Project exists to help communities close equity and opportunity gaps for children and youth by effectively leveraging existing funding, generating new revenue, and developing collaborative infrastructure to administer funds in a coordinated fashion.

Organization: Children’s Funding Project (CFP) is a non-profit organization that partners with communities and states to equitably increase developmental opportunities for children and youth through comprehensive strategic financing. We believe that a lack of sustainable funding too often stands in the way of children and youth having access to essential services and supports like affordable childcare, after school and summer programs, youth employment services, and parent supports. Our current work includes creating tools to guide states and localities through fiscal mapping and cost modeling services; coaching to help child-serving systems understand the flow of funds in their communities; and supporting efforts to generate new dedicated revenue to fund those systems. We also spend a significant amount of time collecting information on emerging trends in child and youth financing across the country.
