One Family’s mission is to prevent homelessness and break the cycle of family poverty in Massachusetts by promoting pathways to economic independence. Founded in 2000 in response to the growing crisis of family homelessness, One Family believes that education and career success are the foundations of lasting housing stability. This work is especially urgent in Massachusetts, where residents face some of the highest living costs in the country. Through two direct-service programs, the organization helps families at risk of or experiencing homelessness overcome barriers to higher education and family-sustaining careers, supporting their path toward lasting economic and housing stability.
