Overview The Director of Philanthropy plays a central role in advancing Village Health Works’ fundraising strategy by cultivating, stewarding, and expanding relationships with individual donors and philanthropic partners. This role focuses on individual donor cultivation, fundraising campaigns, donor engagement, and volunteer activation , helping to grow Village Health Works’ global community of supporters. The Director of Philanthropy will develop strategies to expand the small and mid-level donor pipeline while cultivating relationships with major donors contributing $5,000–$100,000 annually and beyond. The Philanthropy Associate will support the operational and strategic functions of the Major Gifts team within the Philanthropy Division. This role involves providing project management, research, and other critical assistance to a highly collaborative team. The Philanthropy Associate works to support the creation of customized donor reports to ensure that donor engagement efforts are executed efficiently. The position also collaborates with a team of gift officers and volunteers to provide support with donor giving histories, as well as a wide variety of reporting, database management, and logistics.

The Regional Director of Development (RDD) supports Major Gift initiatives in the assigned area. The RDD works in tandem with area volunteer leaders and appropriate professional leadership to develop and execute a fundraising strategy for current and prospective major donors in the Metro region. The RDD will have his/her own portfolio of donors and will supervise a regional team of fundraisers.  This role will be responsible for  building the pipeline of major donors and establish realistic and ambitious goals over time. The Director’s personal fundraising will focus on the NY Metro region and New Jersey.
